Greenhill: On Top of the World

Joe Shippam (a former pupil of Greenhill Primary 1992 - 1999) is climbing Kilimanjaro in support of Child Reach International, and then going on to work for a week in a school for disadvantaged children in Tanzania.

He is planning to be photographed at the summit holding a poster displaying the Greenhill School logo.  On his return he will come into school to share his experiences.

On Monday 15th June we had a fundraising event to support Joe.  Children wore what they liked to school and donated 50p towards Joe’s chosen charity.  In total we raised over £200

Joe will be following the Machambe Route towards Machame Camp, then Shira Camp before heading east.  He will then follow the trail south around Barranco Camp before heading up Kilamanjaro towards the summit!  It will take him 5 days in total!
