3/4P - Mrs Perryman
Hello, my name is Susan Perryman and I am a teacher in Y3/ Y4 and Phase Leader for that year group. I have a degree in Applied Social Studies and an MA in Education. I have been at Greenhill since February 2000 and was at Holt House Infants prior to then. I have taught in all year groups but have taught mainly in KS2 for the past eleven years. I thoroughly enjoy my job and take great pleasure in seeing a child's achievements. I love teaching English and maths and enjoy challenging children in these subjects.
At home I love spending time with my daughter and my husband. We enjoy going for walks together, trying new foods and visiting family.
4L - Miss Lovell
My name is Mel Lovell and I have been a teaching at Greenhill for three years. I'm originally from Surrey and came to Sheffield to study Primary Education at Sheffield Hallam. I liked Sheffield so much I never left! Before I went to university I studied ballet from the age of 7, taking RAD exams from Grade 2 to 8 and even begun teaching ballet to some of the younger pupils. This is what got me into teaching; I enjoyed helping the children to learn new things and to see their confidence grow was so rewarding. I still enjoy teaching dance and also other aspects of PE, it brings out my competitive side! In my spare time I love to play Netball with my team, Power Rangers.
4H - Miss Hurdley
Hi, I’m Katherine Hurdley and I’m a Y4 teacher at Greenhill.
I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2010 with a degree in Music, specialising in performance on the violin and flute. I then spent a year in Canterbury where I completed a PGCE, specialising in Music, with a placement in both primary and secondary schools. I got to teach at a school 5 minutes from the seafront! I started working at Greenhill in 2013.
Outside school, I play in a few bands at different events from weddings to festivals. Aside from being hugely passionate about music I’m also keen on sport. I’m a red belt in Taekwondo, and in the past I’ve competed at the TAGB Taekwondo British and World Championships. Nowadays, I play netball for fun, and I love watching rugby; I’m a massive Leicester Tigers fan!
In school, I’m involved with Choir and other musical goings on, as well as (hopefully!) Tag Rugby, and my current pet project; Lego Engineering with our Y5/6 team – The Greenhill Gizmos!
