5L - Mrs R Longbottom
Hello, my name is Mrs Longbottom. I have been fortunate enough to teach Y56 at Greenhill for the last 3 years. I have previously worked for a charites, and an engineering company before training to be a teacher at Nottingham University. I love teaching because it means I get to meet so many different and interesting people, and do lots of learning too! I have previously worked at schools in Doncaster and Dronfield.
My favourite subjects are Science and English. I really enjoy the variety of topics in science, from how our body works to looking into outer space! English has always been a favourite subject because I love to read and like how writing helps us share our experiences. I like to write about places I’ve been because I really enjoy travelling and learning about different cultures.
5PE - Mr Priest/Mr Ellin
My name is Daniel Priest and I currently teach in Y5. I completed my PGCE in 2012 at Nottingham Trent University and have taught in KS2 since then, mainly in Y3 and Y4. My favourite part of teaching is seeing children take pride in their achievements when overcoming a challenge. I love spending my spare time with my family; when I'm not in school, I'm usually at the park with my boys, or taking them to football training, swimming sessions...or to Hillsborough to see Sheffield Wednesday!
My name is Scott Ellin and I am Y56 teacher and Assistant Head at Greenhill Primary School. I graduated in 2004 from Sheffield Hallam University with a degree in English and History. I then went on to do a PGCE and started teaching in 2005. I previously worked at Malin Bridge for 4 ½ years before moving to Greenhill where I have currently been for the past 6 ½ years. I have 2 children, Jack and Isabel and spend most of my spare time out and about with my children and my wife Cathy, who I have been married to for 8 years. I like most sports and enjoy being active so Greenhill has been a fantastic school for me since I came here. I like to teach maths and English and love it when children become more independent and start to decide for themselves where they need to take their learning next. In my spare time I support Sheffield Wednesday and like to spend time with family and friends.
