ICT - Information Communication Technology
Children in Reception to Y6 normally have one ICT lesson a week with their class teacher
in the ICT Suite. In addition to this children have access to a range of ICT technologies in the classroom including interactive whiteboards, digital cameras, digital microscopes and control equipment. Children are taught a range of skills which are developed as they progress through the school. The content of the childrens ICT lessons is cross curricular and supports the learning that pupils are doing in other subjects.
In addition to this each class is taught specific ICT skills by Miss Crabtree for half a term during the year. This creative learning opportunity is intended to develop advanced ICT skills.

Below is an overview of the units of ICT that are taught to each year group throughout the year. Each unit of ICT may be revisited on several occasions throughout the year or taught as a blocked unit of work over several weeks.
