World Book Day

On October 7th we held a ‘Book Day’ with the emphasis on reading. The children brought along their favourite bedtime story to school and dressed in their pyjamas, slippers and dressing gown! (You may also have spotted some members of staff in their pyjamas!)

During the day children carried out lots of activities related to reading such as: creating a new character for a book, talking about their bedtime story and designing a book cover/ bookmark.

Scholastic Book Fair

Our Book Fair is in school from October 2nd to 8th. You will have an opportunity to look at the books with your child between 3 and 3.30pm every day. It will be situated at the main entrance. All pupils will be taken to look at the books on October 7 th . If they see a book they would like they will be asked to fill in a slip with details of the item. This will then be sent home. If you want your child to have the book then please return the slip to school the following day with the appropriate money. The book will then be sent home with your child.
