Holiday Requests During Term Time

We would discourage parents from taking their children out of school for family holidays. If a child’s absence during term time is unavoidable, permission should be sought by filling in a Discretionary Absence Application Form (click on the link below). 

The Governing Body have agreed to trial a points system which takes all factors into consideration when authorising or not authorising an absence during term time.  The system is much clearer than the previous traffic light system and has been successfully used in other schools.  The new calculation sheet is available at the school office and can also be accessed by clicking on the link below.
