Greenhill Primary School uses residential visits to support the development of personal and social skills, independence and confidence in our pupils, and to broaden the curriculum they enjoy.
Residential visits have been a feature of Greenhill Primary School since the late 1970’s, and though they have changed in location and curricular emphasis, personal development has been at the heart of them. Staff have changed many times over, but the value of the visits continues to be recognised and the scope continues to grow.
Being able to interact with other people on many levels is a skill that is vital to society at large, and we at Greenhill Primary School endeavor to develop the inter-personal skills of our pupils such that they may become successful members of society. The growth of self-confidence and esteem and the recognition of qualities in others is an integral part of the challenges faced by pupils on a residential visit.
At Greenhill Primary School we continue to promote outdoor education and personal and social development.
