Re-opening the library - 7 September

We will be re-opening the library for "limited browsing" on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 2-4pm starting on 7 September. To keep the environment safe there will be some restrictions in place:
  • Zone markings to encourage social distancing
  • A limit on the number of people in the building
  • A one-way system
  • No seating
  • Face-coverings will be required (unless you're exempt)
  • You'll be asked to provide a contact number for "Test and Trace"
  • No access to the toilets
  • Children won't be allowed in but adults may chose books from the children's library
In short, it's going to be much more of a "drive through" experience.
There will be limited printing, photocopying and public computer facilities available, but this will be restricted to "essential" use, not just entertainment.

We'll be reviewing these restrictions in the light of early experience and we ask you to bear with us if you experience and delays or difficulties in using the service.
